Natural Oils Used at REVIVE! a hair spa & their benefits
Following are natural oils used by Tia Danielle at REVIVE! as well as their general descriptions and benefits as related to skin and hair care. This list does not preclude REVIVE! from using any oil or product that has been determined as beneficial to natural hair and scalp care.

Almond Oil – Ability to protect and moisturize hair. When massaged into the hair, almond oil removes the build up of dead skin cells, which alleviates scalp inflammation and allows the hair to grow freely. It also protects and stimulates the growth of existing hair follicles making them less prone to breakage. People with allergies to nuts should use caution when using almond oil and discontinue use if any allergic skin reactions occur.Aloe Vera Oil – Used to induce cell regeneration, treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, acne and skin ulcers. Contains vitamin E and C, as well as zinc and polysaccharides, which aid in stimulating epidermal growth and cell repair.
Avocado Oil – Rich in nutrients, amino acids, essential fatty acids, as well as vitamins A, B, D, and E, avocado oil supports healthy growth, shine and smooth texture. Particularly great for natural hair, it is excellent for moisturizing, deep conditioning, improving hair strength, and boosting shine.
Camelina Oil – Has a stable shelf life and is not prone to rancidity. This oil comes packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, and anti-oxidants.
Castor Oil – The omega-9 fatty acids and humectant properties in the oil moisturize and nourish hair leaving it thick, shiny and strong. Castor oil thickens hair, promotes hair growth, prevents thinning, moisturizes, helps reduce split ends, helps to tame frizz, prevents scalp infections, and stimulates blood circulation.
Coconut Oil – To promote hair growth, prevent dandruff, moisturize, strengthen hair, thicken hair, and prevent damage. Coconut oil is packed full of saturated fats which penetrate deep into the scalp. This allows the coconut oil to prevent the loss of proteins and replace natural hair oils lost due to daily exposure to toxins and frequent shampooing. Keeping the hair shaft healthy prevents hair loss and may help to re-grow hair. It is a natural emollient, which means that it locks in moisture to each individual hair strand to restore body and shine. It’s a rich source of vitamin E, one of the most important vitamins for healthy hair growth.
Grapeseed Oil – Moisturizes the scalp and rids hair of dandruff, adds shine, and promotes hair growth.
Shea Oil – An all natural vitamin A cream, shea butter is an exceptional moisturizer for the hair and body as well an exceptional healing agent for a growing list of skin problems. This oil leaves a smooth and healthy feel to the skin and offers healing benefits for skin problems including, but not limited to, dermatitis, eczema, burns, cutaneous dryness, and other irritations.
Walnut Oil – Walnut oil contains linoleic acid, omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9 fatty acids and linolenic. Walnuts are rich on phytonutrients. It has anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic and anti-viral properties. With regard to the health benefits, it is used in treating dandruff, acne, inflammation and eczema.
